i figured it out!!!

So part of the hesitancy with starting this blog was it just seemed so overwhelming to learn a whole bunch of new things all at once and figure out how to do them by myself.  The whole thing seemed so daunting, and it's crazy because as a mom I am constantly trying to be this positive Polly cheerleader for my own kids when they have to do something for the first time and here I am dragging my feet for almost a year, pot meet kettle:)  So I am so excited that I am doing this all by myself, with the help of google and chat helps, needless to say, but mostly by myself!!  Today I figured out how to take a picture of myself using a tripod, totally not as fun as forcing my friends to do it when I see them and getting a good laugh as people stare at us like we are psycho but self fulfilling still.  So here are some of my first shots with the tripod, not the best, but I promise I will get better at this!!!  My look today is total blog getting down to business mode, comfy baggy layers that also work in the fall temps that have finally decided to roll in, yay!!!  I'm sure by next week it will be like 40 degrees and I'll be bitching about how we never get fall in the north, blah, blah, blah, but for now loving that I can wear a long sleeve shirt with a sweater jacket and call it a day!  My shirt is from Zara (very old) has a sequin skull on it that is hard to see, but this shirt is super comfy.  Then it's paired with one of my fav M Missoni sweater jackets, that looks cool and keeps me warm.  Today I was in a bell bottom mood, didn't want to feel like a stuffed sausage and these are technically summer weight jeans, but I don't follow rules, and I also liked the lightness of the denim against the texture of the sweater jacket.  I love to mix textures, it definitely makes any outfit feel more rich and interesting if you mix heavy and delicate fabrics together.  So see below and excuse my crazy lawn that's half dead, keeping a lawn looking pretty is a boat load of work and expensive to boot, but anyway enjoy and don't laugh to much, I was very serious:))
