happy hallow's eve !!!
I have decided that Halloween is the one holiday out of the year that I decided to just go all out Martha Stewart and decorate like crazy. The last couple years I have been doing crazy things with my pumpkins and it is so much fun! My first year I was anti color and everything was black and gold, which is unusual for me to eschew colors out the window with total wild abandon, because usually I am a walking Crayola box, so of course last year I went the other direction and did a total hippie dippy color crazy with multi color pumpkins and skulls with feather hats:) This year I guess being around my pink obsessed 4 year old daughter has me seeing PINK PINK and more PINK!!! I bought pink chairs for my living room and this year my Halloween color theme is the completely nontraditional pink, but hey who cares. So see below for a bit of this year's creations, I am a bit of a procrastinator and this is late in the game and I am still decorating as we speak but I was never known for my great time management as my husband would say, haha:)))
This is what you see when you walk in my front door, a pink Halloween wonderland of sorts:) Details below of what I did, the black and white pumpkins are from 3 years ago that I hand drew with sharpie markers on white pumpkins, I reuse them every year and they still look good!!! It's hard to tell from the picture but in the back the pumpkins are wearing animal masks that I got from Anthropologie and then colored just the flower parts to create some interest, also was wearing one in my latest Instagram post, if you don't follow me you should:))
So here are my pretty in pink skulls, I spray painted them a variety of pinks which took all of 2 seconds and then I hot glued crystals I got from Michael's on to their eyes, nose, head, etc and voila, cool skulls!!!
For the pumpkins I used white craft ones from Michael's and then spray painted them the same pink as the skulls and then I hot glued flowers to them in a sash like manor along the side.
Finished skulls on my pink chair:)
Finished flower pumpkin, sorry forgot to take a pic of all three together for their "close up", haha, getting used to this blog stuff so forgive me:) See finished picture for the other two beauties.!
Last year's hippie dippie guys:) I reused these skulls this year because I love them!
